What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I wore this on a long alpine route where the wind picked up at every belay, and the under helmet hood actually stayed put and warm. Reaching high for placements never left my wrists or lower back exposed, which made a real difference on colder pitches."Cold wind at a hanging belay has a way of testing every piece of gear, and the RockRider Hoodie from Escape Climbing was built to hold up under exactly that pressure. We pull it on before racking up, trusting the grid fleece to keep warmth in and sweat moving out as we work through crux sequences and long alpine pitches alike. It's the layer that stays comfortable whether we're clipping bolts in the sun or placing cams high above a belay ledge. Sleeves cut with extra material move through full overhead reaches without ever riding up or exposing skin to a cold breeze, a small detail that matters most on the tallest routes. The under helmet hood adds stretch and a low profile fit, so it tucks in cleanly during rappels or windy stances without bunching or slipping. It's a hoodie shaped entirely around the movements climbing actually demands.
