"Women's Topo Athletic® Aura 2: If you log a lot of miles and want a road running shoe that keeps your legs feeling fresh, the Topo Athletic Aura 2 is worth a close look. This is a max-cushioned daily trainer with a 38mm heel and 33mm forefoot stack, built for women who want serious cushioning underfoot on long runs without a ride that feels slow or heavy. At 8.7 ounces, it carries that cushioning without feeling like a burden, and the neutral support makes it a natural fit for runners who don't need added correction in their stride. The ZipFoam™ midsole is the foundation of the ride - Topo Athletic's proprietary foam absorbs impact and returns energy, so the cushioning works with you rather than just sitting under your foot. The Y-Frame Guidance System is a structural midsole element that helps guide your foot through heel-to-toe transitions, keeping your stride smooth and consistent on longer efforts without locking you into a rigid feel. An OrthoLite® Performance Insole adds another layer of underfoot cushioning on top of the midsole, which means the shoe stays comfortable deep into a long run or recovery day. The engineered mesh upper improves airflow through the shoe while wrapping the foot securely, so the fit stays locked in through the midfoot without feeling restrictive. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took the Aura 2 out for a long easy run and noticed how the cushioning held up all the way to the end - my legs didn't feel nearly as beat up as I expected. The Y-Frame keeps the stride feeling smooth, and the mesh upper stays breathable even when the miles add up."" - Rachel, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Carlsbad, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're a neutral runner who wants max cushioning for daily training, long runs, or recovery days on the road, the Aura 2 is a strong option.
