"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I have been wearing the Prime Shoes as my go-to approach shoe for the past season, and they have held up to everything from slabby canyon approaches to days spent entirely at the gym. The suede upper breaks in quickly, and the BlackLabel-Street outsole grips on wet rock and pavement alike, which matters more than most people realize on a real approach.""The approach is part of the climb, and the Black Diamond Prime Shoes treat it that way. Built to carry you comfortably from the gym parking lot to the base of the route and everywhere in between, the Prime brings a climbing shoe sensibility to a lifestyle sneaker without asking you to sacrifice a single step of comfort to get there. The premium suede upper is durable and weather-resistant with a fit that adapts and breaks in over time, while the toe shape and upper construction pull directly from climbing shoe design for a silhouette that feels at home at the base of a route. The BlackLabel-Street sticky rubber outsole grips on wet rock, dry pavement, and everything in between, and the molded EVA midsole cushions the miles between the car and the crag without adding unnecessary bulk. A rubber toe cap protects against the inevitable scrapes, and webbing loops open up carrying and stowing options when your hands are full."
