"What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:""I bring this on every warm-season hike. It breathes well, handles wind better than you’d expect for the weight, and disappears into a pack when the sun comes out.""We count on the Granite SO Hooded Jacket when warm-weather hikes bring gusty ridgelines, sudden shade, and long stretches of sun exposure. Its lightweight softshell fabric breathes exceptionally well on steep climbs, while the four-way stretch keeps us moving naturally through rocky steps and switchbacks. When the wind picks up, the full-coverage hood and adjustable hem help us settle into a steady, comfortable pace. Two zippered pockets store the essentials we like to keep close, while elastic cuffs keep the sleeves secure during quick scrambling moves. The jacket packs down small enough to disappear into a daypack, making it an easy layer to bring along even when the forecast looks stable. Whether we’re wandering mellow forest trails or linking high-elevation ridges, the Granite SO Hooded Jacket delivers dependable protection without slowing us down."
