Uberti 1851 Navy Conversion Wild Bill Features The Uberti 1851 Navy Conversion Wild Bill .38 Special mirrors the appearance of the ivory-gripped revolvers carried by James Butler "Wild Bill" Hickok-widely regarded as the archetype of the Old West gunfighter. Although Hickok used .36-caliber cap-and-ball revolvers this model updates the platform with an easily available .38 Special chambering while retaining the balance lines and romantic appeal of the originals. The long 7.5 barrel provides a generous sight radius and steady off-hand control complementing the smooth deliberate rotation of the single-action revolver mechanism. Its blue-steel barrel and case-hardened frame recreate the refined frontier-era styling associated with Hickok's legendary sidearms while simulated ivory grips enhance the historical character of the design. A six-groove 1:18.75 right-hand twist stabilizes .38 Special ammunition effectively supporting both period-style shooting and modern cowboy-action loads. At 13.6 in overall length and weighing 2.8 pounds the Wild Bill variant delivers the distinctive handling and historic flavor of one of the West's most celebrated gunfighters.
