Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops Spring Assisted Features The Smith & Wesson Extreme Ops Spring Assisted is built around a 3.25 7Cr17MoV stainless steel drop point blade that delivers a corrosion-resistant hard-wearing edge capable of handling a wide range of field and utility cutting tasks with consistent performance. The spring-assisted opening mechanism launches the drop point blade open quickly and positively with minimal effort while the liner lock provides a secure rock-solid lockup that holds firmly under load and releases cleanly for safe controlled closing. The drop point geometry offers a strong versatile tip and a full belly that excels across everyday cutting applications from breaking down materials to light field work. The Flat Dark Earth polymer scales keep the Extreme Ops lightweight and comfortable through extended carry and use delivering a secure textured grip surface that holds confidently in wet or dry conditions. The tip-down pocket clip positions the knife naturally for a fast consistent draw that pairs seamlessly with the spring assisted folding knife opening mechanism for one of the quickest deployments in its class. At just 4.5 closed the Extreme Ops Spring Assisted slips into a pocket or onto gear without bulk making it one of the most practical carry options in the Smith & Wesson lineup.
