The extended receiver integrates a full rail system with M-LOK slots at the 3 6 and 9 o clock positions covering more of the barrel and gas block while extending the grip surface for improved weapon control and accessory mounting flexibility. A receiver window with heat shield allows for regulator and piston removal in the field and Torx head fasteners simplify maintenance without specialized tooling. The two-position adjustable gas regulator improves reliability across varying ammunition and suppressor configurations and the SCAR 16S Gen 2 Carbine is suppressor compatible with low backpressure forward-venting suppressors including the FN QD556. The telescoping side-folding polymer stock features an adjustable cheekpiece and true AR grip compatibility including beavertail options giving shooters a highly configurable ergonomic platform out of the box.
