Galco Optic Solution Premium Steerhide Shoulder Holster Colt 1911 3.5in Dan Wesson 1911 5in Kimber 1911 3in Nighthawk 1911 5in Ruger SR1911 5in Right. A direct descendant of Galcos proven Jackass and Miami Classic designs the Optic Solution brings 21st-century upgrades to the shoulder rig concept. As its name implies Galco's modernized this shoulder rig by making it compatible with most carry-style red dot optics whether closed or open-emitter. This brings it in line with todays modern EDC pistols. The positioning of the holsters swivel keepers hearkens back to Galcos original Jackass designs allowing adjustment to a muzzle up/butt down position to increase concealment. The holster may also be adjusted to a true horizontal carry. The horizontal positioning works best for users with deep chests and/or shorter-barreled pistols while the diagonal helps smaller individuals conceal longer-barreled handguns. The open-front horizontal magazine carrier pioneered and perfected on the Miami Classic II presents two spares ready for quick reloads. Twin tension units allow the user to set the magazines retention level. The Optic Solutions retention strap features a new thumb break that uses a multi-curved and scalloped polymer release to guide the thumb perfectly into the draw position. This allows the fastest most ergonomic release of the retention strap and the smoothest draw. On 1911 fits the new thumb break uses Galcos patent-pending deactivation block that positively engages the thumb safety when the pistol is holstered with the retention strap snapped. This thumb break is designed to carry the 1911 in the correct Condition One (cocked and locked) readiness mode. The full-grain leather harness incorporates Galcos durable Flexalon swivel plate a Galco trademark which allows each of the four straps to move independently for comfort. The straps measure 1.5in wide at the shoulders balancing all-day carrying comfort with easy concealment. Shoulder rigs have long been known as one of the most comfortable ways to carry a medium or large defensive pistol. Now with the Optic Solution you can also carry with a mounted optic.
