evo.com | K2 Snowboards > The K2 Sky Pilot Snowboard was born from Sage Kotsenburg's pursuit of the perfect tool for pillow lines, tight trees, and technical backcountry terrain. A Volume Shift(TM) shape, 3D Contour tip and tail, and Carbon Y-Beam construction create a ride that pivots effortlessly through deep snow while still delivering the snap, stability, and edge pressure needed to charge with confidence. Shorter, wider, and incredibly intuitive, the Sky Pilot turns the mountain's natural features into a playground. 2x4 Inserts Triax Glass A triaxial fiberglass laminate with fibers woven at 45deg/45deg/0deg that increases torsional stiffness for stronger edge hold, greater stability, and a more responsive ride. Wax Infused Sintered 4001 Base Built using the hardest and fasted sintered base material on the market, the Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 Base holds wax longer than other sintered bases for smoother, longer lasting glide.
