What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I took the Porter 30L Backpack through two connecting flights and a full day of hiking and it handled both without a hitch. Being able to stow the harness away completely is what sold me on it as a travel bag, and the front panel access made digging out my passport at security way less of a production."The Porter 30L Backpack from Osprey is the kind of bag that makes you rethink how much you actually need to bring. Whether you're catching an early flight for a long weekend or heading out on a day hike with more ambition than a simple loop, the Porter moves with you without demanding much in return. Front panel access means you're never unpacking everything just to find what's at the bottom, and the dedicated laptop sleeve keeps your tech protected whether the bag is riding in an overhead bin or against your back on the trail. When the load shifts or grows, the StraightJacket compression system cinches everything down and keeps it stable so the bag moves with your body instead of against it. The stowable harness and padded waist belt disappear completely when you want the Porter to read as a duffel, and come right back out when the trail calls for a proper carry. Built from recycled nylon with a PFC-free DWR coating, it's a bag that pulls double duty and does both jobs well.
