What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying"The Sky Pilot earns its name - this board wants to fly. That directional combination camber keeps it locked in on groomers but still loose enough to play when conditions get interesting. The Carbon Y Beam stiffens things up right where you need it, and the Wax Infused Sintered 4001 base is genuinely fast out of the box. It's a 6 flex that rides confident, not stiff - a solid quiver board for riders who like options."Who It's ForIntermediate to Advanced All-Mountain RidersThe Sky Pilot is built for riders who've moved past the learning phase and want a board that grows with them. It rewards progressive carving technique on groomers while still being approachable enough for mixed-condition days. Riders who split time between groomers, powder stashes, and occasional park laps will find it fits their style without demanding commitment to one terrain type. What It's ForAll-Mountain Terrain with a Groomer and Powder BiasThe Sky Pilot handles well-groomed runs and open powder fields. Its directional shape and camber-dominant profile make it a carving tool first, with enough versatility to handle variable snow when the day takes an unexpected turn. It's not a park-focused board, but it's not locked out of creative riding either. Why We Like ItDirectional Power with an Approachable FlexThe Sky Pilot pairs a directional shape with K2's combination camber - rocker at tip and tail, camber underfoot - so it stays surfy in soft snow while delivering edge hold when you lay it over on hardpack. The SI Core and Carbon Y Beam work together to keep the board responsive without going stiff, and the Triax glass adds torsional control that makes the board feel planted at speed. The 3D Base Contour and stone-ground, wax-infused sintered base round out a build that prioritizes performance over flash.
