What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I clipped the Long EVO Leash onto my axe before a glacier crossing in the Cascades and never thought about it again until I needed it. The rubber tip protector kept things safe in my pack on the approach, and once we were on the snow it was just there, doing its job without getting in the way. Simple, solid, and exactly what you need when the terrain gets serious."The moment the angle steepens and the consequences get real, the details matter. Grivel built the Long EVO Leash for exactly that moment, the kind of terrain where losing your ice axe is not an option. Whether you are threading a glacier route or navigating an exposed alpine approach, this leash keeps your tool attached and your focus where it belongs. The construction is straightforward and intentional: polyester webbing, steel hardware, and a rubber tip protector that shields both gear and partners during transport. It is compatible with a range of Grivel axes including the G Zero, Nepal, G1, and the Air Tech series, so if you are already running Grivel tools, this leash slots right into your system. At just 2oz, it adds virtually nothing to your kit while taking a real risk entirely off the table.
