What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I fished out of the Elkhorn Waxed Cotton Lumbar Pack for a full week on a western freestone river, and it handled everything I threw at it. The Hypalon attachment points kept my retractor, forceps, and floatant exactly where I wanted them, and the exterior quick-access pocket meant I never had to dig around mid-drift. The waxed cotton held up through morning fog and afternoon rain without any fuss."Some stretches of river ask you to cover water fast, hopping from run to run and reading new water around every bend. On those days, the Fishpond Elkhorn Waxed Cotton Lumbar Pack sits on your hips and disappears into the rhythm of the wade, carrying five liters of gear without slowing a single step. The organic waxed cotton shell brings an upgraded, tougher finish that sheds river spray and weather with a material character that only improves with time and miles on the water. Everything inside and out is organized with intention. The interior water-resistant stash compartment protects boxes, licenses, and anything that needs to stay dry, while the exterior quick-access pocket keeps the items you reach for constantly close without breaking the flow of a good stretch of fishing. Hypalon attachment points are positioned for tippet holders, retractors, floatant, forceps, and bear spray holders, so the tools you want ready are always exactly where you put them. Two mesh water bottle holders, underside compression straps for an extra layer, a padded back panel, and an integrated net slot round out a pack that earns its place on every outing from technical spring creeks to big-water wade trips.
