What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I wore the Diverge Full-Zip Hoodie on a late-season alpine route where the temps swung hard between the approach and the summit, and it handled both ends of that range without issue. The over-helmet compatible hood is a genuinely useful feature up high, and the mono-material fleece breathes well enough that I never felt the need to stop and strip a layer."The approach starts cold, and the summit only gets colder, which is exactly the kind of day the Black Diamond Diverge Full-Zip Hoodie was built for. The mono-material fleece construction delivers real warmth without trapping heat when the pace picks up, making it a natural choice for moving days where conditions shift fast and stopping to manage layers costs time. A regular fit keeps things comfortable, whether it is worn over a base layer or under a hardshell on a committing line. What sets it apart from a standard fleece is the detail work. The snug over-helmet compatible hood stays put when the wind picks up without getting in the way on the approach, and thumbholes extend coverage during cold belays or breezy ridge walks. Made from recycled ocean-bound plastic with a non-brushed face fabric that sheds less fiber over time, it is a midlayer that performs better and lasts longer than it looks. Zippered hand pockets and a zippered chest pocket round out a design that is just as useful on a rest day as it is on a big objective.
