What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I built this exact setup for a week that bounced between park laps and a surprise powder day, and it just worked. The Whatever's medium camber held an edge on the groomers in the morning, the Rift's Dual BOA let me loosen up for park runs by lunch, and the C-8's tool-less adjustment meant I never had to stop and dig out a screwdriver. This is the kind of package you stop thinking about and just ride."We built our whole day around one board, and the Bataleon Whatever Snowboard never told us no. One run it's holding an edge through morning corduroy, the next it's popping off a side hit, and by afternoon it's floating through the leftover powder stashed at the treeline. Paired with the Nidecker Rift Boot and the Ride C-8 Binding, this is a setup that stops asking what kind of rider you are and just lets you ride like all of them at once. The directional twin shape and 3D base keep the Whatever forgiving in bumps and playful off jumps, while the Rift's heat-moldable liner locks in a custom fit that only gets better the more days you put on it. The C-8's ergonomic highback and responsive straps translate every input straight to the edge, so whether you're threading trees or stomping a landing, the whole package moves like it was built as one unit, because out here, it is.
