The working adjustment section and attachments ends are 1" inch friction resistant material. The Cordura pad covering is also extremely light and durable. The pad is still closed cell foam so it will not retain moisture. The rubber pull tab feels great with our without gloves. The quick adjustment feature allows quick shoulder length transitions, providing adjustment options to overcome obstacles, transitioning and perform hands free procedures.
