"Women's Altra® Torin ST: The Altra Torin ST is a stability road running shoe built for women who want a cushioned, natural-feeling ride on daily training runs and longer efforts. It combines Altra's zero-drop platform with light stability support, so you get the benefits of a more natural foot strike without sacrificing the guidance that helps keep your stride on track. If you log consistent miles and want a shoe that feels comfortable from the first step to the last, the Torin ST is worth a close look. The foundation of the ride is Altra EGO™ MAX foam, which gives the Torin ST a soft, cushioned feel underfoot while still returning enough energy to keep things lively when you pick up the pace. GuideRail™ Technology is built into the midsole to encourage natural foot placement and add light stability support - without the rigidity of a motion-control structure. The FootShape™ toe box lets your toes spread out naturally at push-off, which matters most on longer runs when feet tend to swell. A breathable mesh upper with an elevated tongue and updated heel shape wraps the foot comfortably and keeps things locked in without creating pressure points. At 8.6 ounces with a 30mm stack height and 0mm drop, the Torin ST sits in a useful middle ground - cushioned enough for easy miles and recovery days, responsive enough to handle tempo efforts. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took the Torin ST out for a longer easy run and noticed right away how the GuideRail kept my foot tracking naturally without feeling like the shoe was making decisions for me. The EGO™ MAX foam stays soft through the whole run, and the wide toe box is a real difference-maker when my feet start to spread out after a few miles."" - Rachel, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Carlsbad, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're a runner who wants light stability support, a cushioned ride, and the feel of a natural foot strike, the Torin ST fits that brief well.
