What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying:"I wore the Salt Original Jacket through a full day of inshore racing with a lot of spray and shifting conditions, and it never let a drop through. The AquaGuard(R) cuffs sealed out water at the wrists without restricting my grip on the lines, and the high fleece-lined collar covered my ears on the cold upwind legs without needing a separate neck layer."There is something satisfying about a sailing jacket that looks the part before it even proves itself on the water, and the Helly Hansen Salt Original Jacket earns both impressions. The classic flag stripe across the chest is a nod to the brand's nautical roots, and everything underneath that heritage detail is built to perform when conditions stop being cooperative. HELLY TECH(R) Performance fabric sheds rain and spray at the highest level while still breathing during active sailing, so you stay dry from the outside and comfortable from the inside across a full day on the water. AquaGuard(R) adjustable double cuffs, first developed alongside the New York Yacht Club American Magic team, seal tight at the wrists without fighting your grip. Four pockets give you real storage for everything from sailing gloves to a VHF radio, and the SOLAS reflectors on the arms and neon reflective hood add serious visibility when light gets low or conditions get demanding. Ocean Bound recycled materials sourced within 50km of vulnerable coastlines tie the jacket's purpose directly to the water it was built to work on.
