Daniel Defense's AR Pistol Grip takes much of its design from the standard A2, but features several notable improvements. The grip angle and ergonomics are similar to that of 1911 pistols to provide better shooting comfort and a more natural hand position. An oversized trigger guard is also included to accommodate shooting when wearing gloves, and covers the gap between the grip and lower receiver to prevent wearing on the shooter's hand. This pistol grip is also outfitted with a textured soft overmolding for a superior grip even when wet. In addition, this pistol grip lacks a roll pin which makes installation easy and reduces the chance of damaging the lower receiver.
