"This is a highly regarded pre-World War II commercial sporting rifle based on the Mauser 98 bolt action, produced in Oberndorf, Germany, from roughly 1900 to the late 1930s. Known as the ""standard"" or normal model, it featured a characteristic high-quality stock. These rifles are prized by collectors and shooters alike for their history and accuracy, and they are often found with features suited to both open and scope-based shooting."
