A modern twist on an old classic -- the tarpon toad. Booby eyes have become increasingly popular in destinations like the Florida Keys and beyond for tarpon flies as they aid in keeping that fly perfectly suspended in the water column. From the tyer: "The late Captain Darrell Key, my best friend and fishing partner for over 40 years, was the one who took my original marabou tarpon toad and added the large foam eyes. Darrel guided in the Keys, Homosassa and the panhandle with that fly for many years. We were using it for skinny water redfish, snook, sea trout and of course tarpon.
