"Men's Altra® Timp 6: The Altra Timp 6 is a men's trail running shoe built for runners who want confident grip and all-day comfort on technical terrain. Whether you're grinding through muddy singletrack or navigating rocky climbs, the Timp 6 gives you the traction and cushioning to keep moving without second-guessing your footing. The Vibram® Megagrip outsole is the real story here - a high-performance sticky rubber that holds its grip on both wet and dry surfaces and is built to last through serious trail miles. Underfoot, Altra EGO™ MAX midsole foam keeps the ride light with a touch of bounce, so longer efforts don't wear you down. The soft rolled mesh upper pairs with updated fit construction for a comfortable step-in feel, while overlays add protection without sacrificing flex on the climbs and descents. Altra's FootShape™ Fit gives your toes room to spread naturally, and the secure midfoot keeps things dialed in when the trail gets rough. The GaiterTrap™ tab makes it easy to attach a gaiter without any extra hardware - a small detail that matters when conditions get messy. At 0 mm drop, the Timp 6 keeps you in Altra's signature foot-level geometry throughout. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took these out on a wet, rooty trail and the Vibram outsole just stuck - I didn't feel like I was fighting for traction at all. The toe box gives you that classic Altra room, but the midfoot still feels locked in on uneven ground. If you run trails regularly and want something that can handle real conditions, these are worth a serious look."" - Michael, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Seattle WAWho It's Best ForIf you're a trail runner who logs miles on mixed or technical terrain and wants a zero-drop shoe with reliable grip, cushioned comfort, and a roomy toe box, the Timp 6 is worth a close look. It suits runners who prefer Altra's natural foot geometry and want a trail shoe that can handle wet and dry conditions without feeling heavy or stiff.
