"Men's Altra® Experience Wild 3+: If you want a trail running shoe that grips confidently and moves efficiently, the Altra Experience Wild 3+ is worth a serious look. Built around a Vibram® Megagrip outsole with Traction Lug, this men's trail shoe handles wet and dry terrain with the kind of sticky, reliable traction that keeps you focused on the run rather than your footing. The Altra EGO™ P35 midsole foam keeps the ride light and efficient underfoot, and the 4mm drop with rocker shape geometry promotes natural body alignment and a smooth toe-off with every step.Altra's FootShape™ fit gives your toes room to spread naturally while keeping the midfoot secure - a combination that feels especially good on longer efforts where fit fatigue can become a factor. An integrated toe bumper adds protection on technical terrain, and the redesigned heel collar rounds out a comfortable, locked-in feel from start to finish. The GaiterTrap™ hook-and-loop tab makes it easy to attach a trail gaiter when conditions call for it, no fasteners or bungees required. If you spend time on trails and want a shoe that handles varied terrain without weighing you down, the Experience Wild 3+ covers a lot of ground. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took these out on a mix of dirt and rocky singletrack and the Vibram® grip was the first thing I noticed - really confident on wet roots and loose gravel. The toe box gives you that classic Altra room without feeling sloppy, and the rocker keeps things moving forward without any extra effort."" - Dave, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you're a trail runner who wants reliable grip across mixed terrain, a lightweight and efficient ride, and a natural toe-box fit, the Experience Wild 3+ is a strong match.
