"Women's Altra® Timp 6: The Altra Timp 6 is a women's trail running shoe built for runners who want confident grip, cushioned comfort, and a natural foot feel on any terrain. Whether you're navigating wet rocks, loose dirt, or rooted singletrack, the Vibram® Megagrip outsole holds its ground - sticky on both wet and dry surfaces and durable enough to handle miles of rugged trail. The zero-drop platform keeps your foot in a natural position from heel to toe, and the FootShape™ Fit gives your toes room to spread and grip the ground the way they're meant to.The Altra EGO™ MAX midsole foam gives the ride a soft, bouncy feel without weighing the shoe down - so long climbs and technical descents feel a little more manageable. The soft rolled mesh upper wraps the foot comfortably, and added overlays provide protection where you need it without sacrificing flex. A secure midfoot fit keeps things locked in when the trail gets uneven. The GaiterTrap™ hook-and-loop tab makes it easy to attach a strapless gaiter when conditions call for it - no extra hardware required. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I took these out on a mixed trail with some muddy sections and a few rocky climbs, and the grip was the first thing I noticed - they stuck to everything. The toe box is genuinely roomy without feeling sloppy, and the cushioning made the longer stretches feel a lot more comfortable than I expected from a trail shoe. If you've been looking for something that handles tough terrain without beating up your feet, this is a solid pick."" - Rachel, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Carlsbad, CAWho It's Best ForIf you run trails regularly and want a shoe that handles technical terrain without sacrificing comfort, the Timp 6 is worth a close look.
