What Our Gearhead® Experts Are Saying:“I’ve used these for everything from long hikes to scrambling days, and they really handle it all well. They feel light and agile on trail but still provide enough support and grip when things get rocky. The waterproofing is reliable, and the mid-height adds confidence on uneven terrain.”Some days call for more than just a trail shoe. The Rapid Mid GTX Hiking Shoe is built for routes that shift between dirt, rock, and everything in between—where speed, grip, and protection all come into play. Blending the feel of a trail runner with the support of a hiking shoe and the traction of an approach shoe, this versatile design features a sock-fit construction that wraps the foot for a secure, comfortable fit. The mid-cut height adds ankle support for longer days and uneven terrain without sacrificing agility. A GORE-TEX lining keeps feet dry in wet conditions, while the Vibram® Megagrip outsole delivers reliable traction across loose trail, rock slabs, and technical terrain. With added protection and propulsion from the Dynamic Protection System, the Rapid Mid GTX Hiking Shoe is ready to keep moving when the route gets unpredictable.
