While we're seeing more and more disc brakes on road bikes these days, rim brakes aren't dead and if you have a direct mount frameset and run Campagnolo, we have the brakes for you with its Non-Series Direct Mount Brake Caliper. These calipers are fully compatible with all Ergopower shift levers letting you reap the benefits of the optimized cable pull for maximum power and modulation. The brakes feature a self-balancing design and independent adjustment of each arm allowing them to move in complete symmetry for an easy setup and equal pad pressure on the rims. The forged alloy skeleton arms, used elsewhere on its other conventional rim calipers, are utilized here blending stiffness while dropping grams. Direct mount calipers are quickly becoming the standard for road rim brakes as they are lighter, offer better aerodynamics, and provide more power and modulation than standard calipers. Additionally, direct-mount calipers allow for more tire clearance, and on this version, Campy gives its blessings for up to 32mm wide rubber. The brakes come with cartridge style pad holders and include special compound brake pads for optimal braking in both wet and dry conditions on alloy rims. If you are running carbon rims, please use the pads provided with the wheelset.
