A fly designed with Ascension Bay, Mexico in mind, but works well beyond. The Ascension Bay Mantis works well on both bonefish and permit throughout the Caribbean. The fly&';s body is tied with an EP wooly brush, a combination of synthetic EP fibers and small rubber legs that give the fly a ton of natural movement. Additionally, a bit of orange EP streamer brush is tied near the hook bend to simulate a spawning shrimp. This particular version is a killer over sandy bottom, and is a great go-to for permit in the larger size.
