Factory Seconds Thin Beeswax Taper Candles These tapers are considered factory seconds because they might have a small cosmetic flaw, are a hair too fat, or too thin. Most folks can&';t tell what&';s wrong with them. What you can be sure of is that they will burn just beautifully. Slender and tall, our thin beeswax taper candles are the ultimate minimalist beeswax candles. Hand-dipped in 100% pure beeswax and measure 1/2" at the base and 12" in total length. These narrow candlesticks are perfect for meditation, prayer, reflection and ceremony. They&';re beautiful as a group, embedded in a bowl of sand, or all on their own in our custom-designed, solid brass candle holders. Because beeswax is so malleable, you can even use these thin tapers in standard taper holders. Simply warm the base of the candle over a flame and use the softened wax to tack the candle securely in place. Sold in bundles of 5 pairs - 10 thin taper candles. Burn time: 6 hours per candle, 30 min per inch. Care: - Always place taper candle in a holder and use caution - holder may become hot at the end of the burn. - To avoid drips, trim the wick to 1/4" before first light and do not trim after that (the long wick prevents drips). Burn out of drafts and use a snuffer to gently extinguish the flame. - These thin candles are delicate and malleable. They can be bent into a variety of shapes, if desired, but please note this may cause them to drip or burn unevenly.
