2027 CAPiTA Mega Death Snowboard The 2027 CAPiTA Mega Death is built for riders chasing maximum speed, precision, and top-tier construction. Designed as a high-end evolution of the Black Snowboard of Death, it combines ultra-lightweight materials with powerful response for aggressive all-mountain freeriding. The Thermopolymer Starship Core(TM) paired with Pure MEGACARBON(TM) construction keeps the board incredibly light while delivering serious drive, stability, and edge hold when things get fast or technical. From steep lines to high-speed groomers, the Mega Death is built to charge. Who is this board best for? Advanced to expert riders who want a lightweight, high-speed freeride board that stays stable, powerful, and precise when riding fast and pushing into steeper terrain. What is new on the 2027 model? Graphics Summary Ability Advanced - Expert Rider Type Freeride / All-Mountain Camber Profile Alpine V1 Directional + Flat Kick Tech Flex 6.5/10 Directional Shape Directional Core Thermopolymer Starship Core(TM) Laminates Pure MEGACARBON(TM) Base MEGADRIVE(TM) XT Base Binding Mount 2x4 Warranty 2-Year Camber Profile Alpine V1 Directional + Flat Kick Tech - Mid-body camber through the inserts provides strong edge hold, stability, and energy transfer at speed, while a reverse cambered nose increases float and maneuverability in softer snow. The flat tail adds power and drive through the end of turns, with extended camber in the tail for added control and support when riding aggressively. Flex Flex Rating: 6.5/10 - A medium-stiff directional flex designed for stability, precision, and control at speed, with a stiffer tail for added power and drive through turns. Shape Directional - Designed to be ridden primarily in one direction, with a longer nose and more compact tail to improve float, stability, and control in steep or variable terrain. Sidecut New Age Progressive Sidecut - A multi-radius sidecut that blends different radii to create smooth turn initiation, control through the middle of the turn, and powerful exit. Death Grip(TM) - Reverse camber arc between the inserts creates an additional contact point for enhanced edge hold and control on hardpack and technical terrain. Core Thermopolymer Starship Core(TM) - Premium poplar core selected for weight and grain consistency, enhanced with bonded thermopolymer channels made from recycled materials to increase strength, damping, and reduce overall weight while maintaining pop and responsiveness. Laminates Pure MEGACARBON(TM) - Full carbon layup running tip to tail above and below the core, maximizing energy transfer, response, and strength while keeping the board ultra-light. Marine Grade Epoxy Resin - High-performance resin system that enhances bonding strength and durability while maintaining consistent performance in varying conditions. Base MEGADRIVE(TM) XT Base - A high-carbon sintered UHMW polyethylene race base engineered for maximum speed and durability, with increased thickness for added longevity. Moonshot Omni-Tune(TM) - Factory-applied race structure designed to channel water away from the base at a 45-degree angle for consistently fast glide. Inlaid Alloy Skid Plates - Lightweight alloy reinforcements placed in high-impact zones to improve durability without adding unnecessary weight. Features Screen Print + Metallic Underlay Topsheet - Combines digital and screen printing techniques to create sharp, durable graphics with added depth and visual detail. Magic Bean(TM) Resin - Plant-based resin system that improves bonding strength while reducing environmental impact. Handcrafted at The Mothership (Austria) - Built using 100% clean energy in CAPiTA&';s high-performance, zero-waste facility.
