What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "I've used these on long day hikes and multi-day trips where comfort is my priority. The cushioning stays lively late into the day, and the stability plate keeps my feet feeling supported on rocky sections without making the shoe feel stiff."We head out for long miles when the trail doesn't ease up, and the Ducan III Low GTX Hiking Shoe is built to stay comfortable step after step. Mammut designed this shoe for extended hikes and multi-day tours where fatigue can creep in fast if support and cushioning fall short. From rolling singletrack to rocky climbs, it keeps our stride smooth and efficient. High-rebound EVA cushioning absorbs impact and returns energy throughout the day, while the Flextron(R) PRO propulsion plate adds stability and reduces fatigue on uneven terrain. A durable upper with a reinforced rand protects against rocks and trail debris, and the Vibram outsole with Traction Lug technology delivers reliable grip on wet or dry ground. Inside, a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane keeps feet dry without sacrificing breathability, making this a dependable choice for changing weather and long distances.
