The Douglas DXF Gen 2 Switch Rod gives two-handed fly anglers a lightweight, sensitive freshwater switch rod for controlled swings, mends, and tight-loop deliveries when targeting steelhead, salmon, trout, and other migratory gamefish. Its moderate fast action and multi-modulus blank construction optimize rod action for smooth load and recovery, while minimal tip dampening improves accuracy at short range and keeps longer casts on track when you need to cover seams, buckets, and tailouts efficiently. A self-aligning reel seat with dual locking rings and Nylatron inserts keeps your reel secure, and the reverse half wells grip with AAA cork and rubber tips adds comfort and durability through long sessions on the river. Finished in emerald green flake with a lightly sanded blank, dark neo plated stainless frame guides, and a 4-piece travel-friendly configuration, this switch rod comes packaged in a Cordura tube with a coordinating cloth sock for protection between trips.Moderate fast action with a lightweight, sensitive feel for freshwater fly fishingMulti-modulus blank construction and minimal tip dampening improve tracking and casting accuracySelf-aligning reel seat features dual locking rings and Nylatron inserts for a secure fit4-piece rod includes AAA cork grip with rubber tips, dark neo-plated guides, and Cordura tube with cloth sockFreshwater fly rods are lightly sanded, come in Emerald Green Flake color with a reverse half wells gripManufacturer's limited lifetime warranty
