"Salomon® Sense Ride 5 SR: The Salomon Sense Ride 5 SR is a versatile trail running shoe built for runners who move across mixed terrain - from dirt paths and city parks to paved surfaces. With moderate cushioning and a responsive ride, it handles the kind of varied running most people actually do, without feeling like a compromise on any surface. The 8mm drop and standard fit give it a natural, balanced feel underfoot, and at 293g it stays light enough that you won't notice it working against you on longer efforts.Grip is a real strength here - the outsole is designed to handle uneven and unpredictable surfaces, and the slip-resistant construction means it transitions well even when you're moving indoors between runs. The textile inlay sole adds a comfortable layer underfoot, and the overall setup leans toward versatility rather than specialization. If you run 2-3 times a week across a mix of surfaces and want one shoe that handles all of it without fuss, the Sense Ride 5 SR is worth a close look. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I really like recommending this one to runners who don't stick to a single surface. I took it out on a route that mixed gravel, grass, and some pavement, and it handled all of it without feeling awkward. The cushioning is moderate - enough to take the edge off, but it doesn't feel soft or sloppy. It's just a solid, no-drama trail shoe."" - Sabrina, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, San Diego, CAWho It's Best ForIf you run on mixed terrain - trails, parks, and pavement - and want a single shoe that handles all of it, the Sense Ride 5 SR is a strong fit.
