"Maurten® Solid 160 12 Pack: The Maurten® Solid 160 12 Pack is a chewable sports bar designed for runners and endurance athletes who want solid fuel during lower- to moderate-intensity training and longer efforts. Each pack delivers 40 grams of carbohydrates in a format that feels closer to eating real food than reaching for a gel or drink mix. The two-portion design lets you space out your intake across a run, making it easy to fuel without overthinking it mid-effort.Built from oat- and rice-based ingredients, the Solid 160 keeps your ingredient list simple and sits easier in your stomach during extended sessions. This makes it an excellent choice for early-stage fueling, when your body can still process solid food before intensity climbs and you transition to faster-absorbing formats like gels. The Solid 160 works naturally within a mixed fueling strategy - pair it with Maurten® gels or drink mixes as your effort increases. For athletes who find gels alone insufficient during long runs or multi-hour sessions, the solid format provides a more substantial option without sacrificing carbohydrate delivery. Why Our Fit Experts Love It""I reach for the Solid 160 at the start of long run days when I want something more substantial before I transition to gels later in the effort. The two-portion design makes it easy to split intake without overthinking it mid-run."" - Sean, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Chula Vista, CAWho It's Best ForThe Maurten® Solid 160 12 Pack is best for runners and endurance athletes who prefer a chewable, solid fuel option during lower- to moderate-intensity training, long runs, and extended sessions where early-stage fueling matters.
