"Women's Merrell® Speed Strike 2: The Merrell Speed Strike 2 is a women's hiking shoe that bridges the gap between trail-ready protection and a lighter, more athletic feel. If you want something that can handle a hike without feeling heavy or clunky on your feet, this is a solid option. The EVA foam midsole keeps things stable and comfortable underfoot, while the rubber outsole grips the terrain when you need it most. The Speed Strike 2 is built with a synthetic and mesh upper that balances structure with breathability, and the padded collar adds comfort around the ankle. A protective synthetic heel and toe cap guard against rocks and roots, and the heel loop makes getting the shoe on easy - it's also carabiner compatible if you need to clip and carry. Merrell packed this shoe with sustainability in mind: the laces, webbing, and mesh lining are all 100% recycled, and the removable EVA foam footbed uses 50% recycled materials. The footbed is also treated with Cleansport NXT™ for natural odor control, which is a nice touch on longer days out on the trail. Sizing runs large, so consider going down a half size. Why Our Fit Experts Love This Shoe""I really like that this shoe feels more like a sneaker than a traditional hiking shoe - it's not stiff or bulky. The recycled materials are a bonus, but what I keep coming back to is how comfortable it is right out of the box. It's a great pick if you want something you can wear on a trail or just out and about without overthinking it."" - Sawyer, Road Runner Sports Fit Expert, Wilmette ILWho It's Best ForIf you're looking for a women's hiking shoe that feels athletic and comfortable without sacrificing trail protection, the Speed Strike 2 is worth a look.
