"Panther Vision® Adaptev 550 Headlamp: The Adaptev 550 is a hands-free LED headlamp built for runners, hikers, and cyclists who need reliable illumination during nighttime and low-light activity. A digital micromachined inertial gyroscope tracks your head movement and automatically redirects the light beam in the direction you're looking, so the beam stays aligned without manual adjustment. Seven lighting modes let you control brightness, color, and adaptive sensitivity on the fly, and at just 96 grams with a skin-safe silicone headband, it sits lightly on your head during extended wear. The housing combines clear polycarbonate on top with durable ABS on the lower section, and the IP67 waterproof rating means it holds up in rain, splashes, and wet trail conditions. Shockproof construction protects against drops and impact during active use. The 360-degree field of illumination provides broad coverage for night hiking and dynamic activities like running and biking, where directional awareness matters. Charging happens through a USB-C port, so you can top off the battery at home, in the car, or at a trailhead with compatible devices. The gyroscope technology also conserves battery life by directing light efficiently rather than broadcasting it indiscriminately. Why Our Fit Experts Love It""I took the Adaptev 550 out on a night run and was immediately impressed by how the beam followed my head movements through turns - I never had to stop and readjust the angle once.
