"This is a German 12 gauge sideplate O/U shotgun. The left and right top barrel is marked ""BOHLAR STAHL"" with the bottom right barrel chamber area marked with German proofs and ""977.50. The bottom barrel is also marked with the serial number and ""12 70"". The barrels are a 27.75"" with ejectors and wavy checkered solid rib with a bead front sight. The chokes are unmarked and measure at the top barrel about a tight ""MOD"" and the bottom is about ""IC"". The receiver and side plates show minimal case color remaining. The receiver and side plates, bottom receiver, and trigger guard bow are nice engraved in a light decorative scroll pattern. The stock set is a 4 piece walnut with a 3 piece checkered splinter style forend, fluted straight comb, caped pistol grip, and a leather covered recoil pad. Stock measurements (DC - 1 1/2"", DH - 2 1/2"" with a neutral cast."
