Backcountry Gearhead Recommendation "I've used the Helium UL Vestibule with my Helium Bivy on everything from quick overnights to shoulder-season solo missions. It's just enough added space for gear or to sit up and cook without getting soaked. Packs light, sets up fast, and makes the bivy feel way more livable." When we're counting grams but refuse to sacrifice comfort or protection, we pack the Outdoor Research Helium UL Vestibule. Designed to integrate seamlessly with the Helium UL Bivy, this add-on boosts our overnight experience with extra weatherproof coverage and versatile living space. Built with 15D ripstop nylon and a silicone coating, the Helium UL Vestibule delivers reliable waterproof protection and enhanced durability without adding unnecessary weight. It sets up quickly using a single trekking pole and stakes, and its barrel-style attachment keeps it secure through shifting weather. Whether we're keeping gear dry or stretching out for a backcountry book session, the vestibule keeps us covered-without compromising our fast-and-light approach.
