The Geissele URGI 14.5 Rifle was not engineered for the range-enthusiast market and was later adopted by professionals, it went the other way. Built in direct collaboration with U. S. Special Operations Forces, the 08-658 reflects the exact specifications that serious operators asked for in a duty-grade AR platform and delivers them in a complete, ready-to-run rifle that serious civilian shooters can now put to work. The URGI 14.5 barrel length hits the practical sweet spot that balances velocity, handling, and overall maneuverability for the widest range of applications. The SureFire SF4P 4-Prong Flash Hider is permanently pinned and welded for federal compliance — and functions as the mounting interface for SureFire SOCOM Fast-Attach suppressors, making the 14.5 URGI suppressor-compatible from the factory without any additional muzzle modification. Flash suppression keeps shooter concealment intact in low-light conditions where muzzle flash would otherwise give away position. The Geissele URGI SSA-E two-stage trigger delivers a smooth pull and a clean, consistent break that immediately distinguishes it from mil-spec triggers — a meaningful upgrade that affects every shot. The Nanoweapon-coated Reliability Enhanced Bolt Carrier Group provides the durability and consistent cycling that demanding operational use and hard training require, even at high round counts. Ambidextrous controls make the Geissele URGI rifle naturally functional for both right and left-handed shooters without any modification or adaptation. The URGI rifle Super Modular Rail MK16 offers full M-LOK compatibility with a continuous top rail that provides seamless optic and accessory integration along the handguard, lights, lasers, grips, and other accessories mount cleanly without compatibility concerns. The Geissele URGI complete rifle 08-658 is the most authentic SOCOM-spec AR platform available to civilian buyers, built by the same company that supplies components to actual operators.
