Geissele Defense Pistol GDP 5.56mm 8" Bbl DDC Pistol 08-427S takes everything that made the Super Duty platform work and shrinks it down for people who need to move through doorways, not down ranges. It's not a downgraded rifle — it's a purpose-built pistol, and the details show it. The Geissele Defense Pistol runs an 8" cold hammer forged, chrome-lined barrel with a 1:7 twist on Geissele's tapered profile, paired with a custom pistol-length gas system through an Antistrike Super Compact Gas Block. Geissele's Phased Array® gas port with the Tri-Port™ system meters things out so cycling stays smooth even at this shorter length, which is usually where lesser 8" guns start to feel snappy and unpredictable. A GFW bolt carrier group with an M4 bolt assembly and Geissele's Stressproof Bolt backs that up — full-auto rated hardware, even in a semi-auto pistol, because that's just the standard Geissele builds to. The Geissele GDP's brace deserves its own mention: it's a dual-telescoping design that opens with a single rearward pull and locks into two solid positions, no fumbling required. A 7" MK16 M-LOK handguard in DDC keeps the whole package tight and low-visibility, and the SSA X® Wide Body Lightning Bow trigger gives it a break that doesn't feel like an afterthought bolted onto a compact build.
