Geissele AR-15/M4 Super Precision 30mm Desert Dirt Scope Mount 05-404S, is the same standard-length architecture as Geissele's black 30mm mount, finished instead in DDC for a build that's already running tan furniture. Nothing about the fit changes with the color - this is the base mount in the Super Precision 30mm line, no forward extension, sized for shooters who want the tightest possible connection between optic and rail without pushing eye relief forward. Mounting surface spans 7 picatinny sections, and the mount carries recoil through 4 shear lugs rather than relying on the clamp hardware alone. Body is cut from a single piece of 7075-T6 billet aluminum, which is what allows Geissele to machine pockets and ribs into the structure for rigidity without piling on weight - and it's the same single-piece approach that keeps cap locations consistent enough to fit a wide range of 30mm scope bodies. Clamping comes from Geissele's nut-and-bolt system, not a lever, pulling 1,400 pounds of force per combination. The caps on this Geissele Super Precision Scope Mount are interchangeable between towers rather than serialized to one specific body - a running change Geissele made after testing showed no loss in return-to-zero, so a damaged cap doesn't take the whole mount out of commission. 30mm ring size 7075-T6 billet aluminum construction 1,400 lbs clamping force per nut/bolt combo 4 shear lugs, 7 picatinny sections Standard-length mounting geometry Desert Dirt Color Type-3 hardcoat anodize Interchangeable, non-serialized caps 7.2 oz weight In DDC, this mount slots into a desert-tan build the same way the black version does on anything else - same clamping architecture, same return-to-zero, just finished to match& Geissele Automatics Geissele AR-15/M4 Super Precision 30mm Desert Dirt Scope Mount 05-404S
