We were developing a backpack/tote combo thing and shared it with him. Riley gave us a barrage of very considered thoughts (abuse??) on simplifying our sh*t and just making a great bottomless tote. Canvas was always a goal of ours for the Asset silhouette, but there's a harsh truth, though popular, canvas is a pretty sh*tty bag material - it's a dirt magnet. We've worked tirelessly with our material suppliers to result in a premium canvas inspired material. At a glance it looks like a cream canvas, but is in fact a durable polymer-coated nylon, easily wiped clean. We obsessed over the right blend of performance and polish: edge-painted leather and custom Discommon hardware details, but a bag body that's made to be abused. The backside features a pass-through luggage strap for the grand adventures. Internals feature a hidden valuables slip pocket and mesh organization.
