What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "I've used the X-All Mountain Hammer on steep waterfall ice and in the alpine, and it sticks first swing nearly every time. The balance is perfect, and I love how I can customize the handle for different gloves or conditions. It's easily one of the most versatile tools in my kit." On steep blue ice, wind-blasted ridges, and complex alpine routes, we trust the CAMP USA X-All Mountain Hammer to deliver. This high-performance ice tool changed the way we think about swing efficiency and tool adaptability. Built with a balanced geometry that delivers precise one-swing placements, the X-All Mountain excels on everything from vertical pillars to technical alpine faces. The latest version features a modular head design that accepts both hammer and adze attachments and works with two distinct pick types to suit different climbing objectives. A hot-forged aluminum head, T-rated chromoly steel pick, and 7075-T6 aluminum shaft come together for strength and reliability across big terrain. The three-part handle lets us fine-tune grip size and positioning of the upper pommel to match our gloves, technique, or angle of ascent. Add in a steel spike with a carabiner hole for easy tethering, and you've got a tool ready for everything the mountains can throw your way.
