What Our Gearhead(R) Experts Are Saying: "The S-Works Aethos 2 is the frameset I reach for when I want a bike that feels invisible beneath me. It's incredibly light, but the real magic is how smooth and responsive it rides. The updated geometry and added tire space make it more versatile than the original, and the FACT 12r layup keeps every pedal stroke crisp. Build it right and you'll have a road bike that feels effortless on long climbs and surprisingly planted on descents." We're drawn to the S-Works Aethos 2 Frameset for its rare combination of featherweight construction and a ride quality that borders on surreal. Specialized built this frame to create a sensation, not a race result sheet, and it shows the moment we roll out on smooth tarmac or launch into a fast climb. The FACT 12r carbon layup delivers an instant response to every watt while maintaining the supple, floating feel that made the original Aethos legendary. The refined geometry improves fit and stability, giving us a more planted front end without sacrificing that signature lively handling. With increased tire clearance, a threaded bottom bracket, and a minimalist aesthetic, the Aethos 2 sits at the crossroads of high-end engineering and clean, simple elegance. For riders who chase pure road feel above all else, this frameset unlocks a level of ride bliss that's hard to match.
