It also utilizes SOG's Advanced Combat Sheath (patent pending) which uses a slick internal surface to reduce friction during use. What also makes this blade special is that the tang is actually forged from CPM S35Vn powdered carbon fiber. This allows for much better cooling of the blade during use which allows it to be easily removed from the sheath with only a slight tug. The seal fin design is a well-proven design that offers the end-user the same advantages of a fixed blade without the annodizing that often goes hand-in-hand with less cost.
