Sierra Bullets Sports Master .38 Caliber 158 Grain JSP Pistol Bullets 100 Rounds. The sharp jacket edge allows for better shot placement and provides for a deeper penetration of the projectile. This precision handgun bullet is built to meet the needs of the most demanding shooters. The .357 (.38 caliber) jacketed soft point provides all the punch needed for game hunting while the .357 (.38 caliber) jacket allows faster velocities for handguns without causing excessive barrel expansion. In handguns JSPs perform best when velocities are low and muzzle velocities are moderate. In handguns JSPs perform best when velocities are low and muzzle velocities are moderate. Soft-point bullets require velocities that are high to achieve the advertised expansion so the jackets must be shaved down very thin. Do not load below the minimum velocity or speed unless absolutely necessary. Use when reloading shooting from unloaded firearms or for target shooting. Do not load below the minimum speed limit. The .357 (.38 caliber) jacketed soft point is inherently inefficient as it is bonded together with the jacket. The lighter weight of the jacket enables the bullet to penetrate deeper into the target.
