The Fast-Freeze system allows direct placement of a centrifuge rotor into the neck of a round-bottom flask vessel for both centrifugation and FreeZone applications. A T-connector supplied with the adapter allows the flask to be placed in a Fast-Freeze rotor without the need for removal from the rotor. By leaving the top of the adapter off the rotor can be used for centrifugation while the adapter is in place. The Fast-Freeze system is recommended for use with round-bottomed flasks to ensure a tight fit and provides a flat smooth neck. The round-bottomed flasks have an ultra-thin wall that eliminates ice nucleation and the need for removal from the rotor when thawing.
