Bel-Art Scoop In Handle Pp 1-1/4 PK12 F Scoop In Handle Pp 1-1/4 PK12. A flat bottom keeps these scoops upright even when they're empty while a broader base gives them more stability. A smooth slightly curved side wall increases their lifetime and they can be used just as easily for general lab work as they are for handling powders or other materials. The slightly wider side wall also allows for more efficient use of some materials that would be damaged if they were scooped with a broader scoop such as cement or mortar. It is not unusual however to have to use both hands when scooping powders or materials of this size so a slight offset of one or both handles is a normal part of the scooping procedure. Bel-Art's high quality engineering assures that the smooth rounded polystyrene scoops with plastisol-bonded sidewalls will retain most samples without sticking to it.
