The Fenix CL22R is a 500 lumen camping lantern that goes well beyond basic on/off illumination. Its combined 360-degree and downward lighting modes adapt instantly to whatever the moment calls for — broad campsite coverage or focused light for a task at hand — and runtimes stretch up to 200 hours on its lowest downward-lighting setting, so it's still going strong on night three of a trip. Red-green-blue morphing atmosphere lights add a genuinely fun ambiance for evenings around camp, while dedicated signaling red lights add a real safety margin after dark. A single-handed rotary switch keeps operation refreshingly simple — no digging through menus in the dark — and the IP65 waterproof rating means weather isn't a dealbreaker. Whether you're setting up a full campsite, navigating a dark trail, or just want a lantern that can shift from practical to atmospheric in a twist of the dial, the CL22R brings genuine multi-functionality to a category that's often just one bright bulb in a shell.
