The Fenix HM55R is proof that a lightweight multi-LED headlamp doesn't have to compromise on output. At just 3.7 ounces, it disappears on your head, but its 1,200-lumen max and 574-foot beam distance punch well above its weight class, with spotlight, floodlight, and red light (including flashing) modes covering trail running, mountaineering, camping, and everything between. The oversized side switch stays easy to find by feel, and intelligent brightness downshift automatically dials back output when you're working up close, protecting both your night vision and the headlamp itself from overheating. An adjustable head angle lets you aim light exactly where the trail — or the task — demands, and the included rechargeable battery delivers up to 141 hours of runtime with a quick 2.5-hour USB-C recharge. Built IP68 waterproof and rated for 2-meter drops, the HM55R is ready for whatever weather or fumbling the outdoors throws at it. If you want serious brightness without the weight penalty, this is the headlamp that gets out of your way and lets you move.
