A worthy upgrade to composite CDN front sprockets that come standard on many of our bikes, high performance CDX sprockets ensure thousands of miles of trouble-free service under the harshest conditions. Fits all OEM Gates Carbon Drive CenterTrack cranksets that come standard on our bikes. CDX vs. CDC vs. CDX:BLACK Wondering what the differences between these are? CDX is the most premier tier of Gates sprockets using 6061 hard anodized aluminum or stainless steel (for Pinion sizes) for maximum life and durability. The primary difference for CDC front sprockets is the use of a scalloped CenterTrack Fin design which allows for even better debris clearing action at the expense of some wear resistance due to a different hard anodizing coat. As such, CDC sprockets are not recommended for mid-drive e-bikes like the Priority Current. CDX:BLACK uses the same CenterTrack Fin design with oxide coated chromoly for the wear life of CDX at the expense of some of the all weather conditions durability you get with stainless steel. Note: If you change sprocket size, you may have to change belt size.
